The Mountain Radio was designed and tested in the Colorado Rockies with climbers and skiers in mind. Compact, simple, and tough, it provides up to 3–5 days of battery life (even in extreme cold) thanks to a specialized lithium-ion battery. Built with a shatterproof LED screen, thermoplastic protective housing, and an ultralight carabiner + backup leash, it’s engineered to withstand drops, impacts, and wet weather. The radio transmits at the maximum legal power for license-free use (2 watts), with a typical range of 1–5 miles in backcountry terrain (up to 35 miles in ideal conditions). Out of the box, it’s ready to go—no setup or license required.
The Waterproof Hand Mic adds convenience and versatility to your setup. With an integrated speaker, microphone, and push-to-talk button, you can stow your radio in a pack or drybag while keeping communication at your shoulder. Compact, glove-friendly, and IP67 waterproof, it’s built for skiing, climbing, and any backcountry environment.
